Firefighting Up Close and Personal

Modesto Firefighter Association & Modesto Fire Department presented an experience to remember:  "Feel the Heat" day.  Invited guests were given the opportunity to jump into a full set of "turnouts" and run through simulations of interior fire fighting, smoke filled rooms for search and rescue, and climb the 105' aerial ladder.  Many exhibits, hands on fire fighting, and a full drunk driving simulation complete with a 'jaws of life' rescue, and a medi-flight response rounded out the event.  The Local 1289 and Modesto Fire Department thank the many volunteers that contributed their time and energy to make this day such a success.
