Community Emergency Response Teams
"We Care"

Modesto's First CERT trained members graduated in November 2003!

Stanislaus County's first class of Citizen Corps, Community Emergency Responders graduated after completing a 20 hour hands-on training.  Some devoted four Saturdays and others, completed eight weeks of instruction in disaster preparedness, fire safety, medical life saving, light search and rescue and other specialized training.  These CERT members are now ready to serve as emergency leaders in their neighborhoods and community should they be called upon during a disaster.    We are proud of these brave new volunteers and welcome them to the arena of emergency preparedness.
