Modesto's annual Celebration of Lights is scheduled for Saturday, December 1, 2018 and includes family-friendly events such as a Breakfast with Santa, Dickens' Faire and Modesto Certified Farmer's Market, and our annual Holiday Parade. Following the parade will be the Rockin' Holiday Tree Lighting and the opening of Downtown Rockin' Holidays presented by Sierra Pacific, ModestoView, Collins Electric, VooDoo Lighting and the City of Modesto. Downtown Rockin' Holidays will be occurring every weekend until Christmas with live music, snow, Santa and more.
This year's theme is: Holiday Hoedown
Start the day off with a delicious pancake Breakfast with Santa at the Senior Center, 211 Bodem Street in Modesto. Breakfast is served from 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and includes live music, crafts for the kids, story time with Mrs. Claus and of course, a visit with the big guy! Dickens' Faire and Farmers Market
From 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., take a step back in time at the Dickens' Faire and Modesto Certified Farmers Market on 15th Street between I and J Streets. The McHenry Mansion will be fully decorated as a Victorian Christmas and there will be crafts and activities for the kiddos at the McHenry Museum. Celebration of Lights Parade
Stick around for the biggest community event of the year, our annual holiday parade in downtown Modesto. The theme this year is Holiday Hoedown. Parade starts at 5:30 p.m. on I and 14th Streets. Parade float entries will be accepted beginning October 1st.

Downtown Tree Lighting
Immediately following the parade is the traditional community tree lighting in Tenth Street Plaza, 1010 Tenth Street, Modesto.
